Hope you all had a nice short week!

This week, we revised numbers. Since they are tricky to write, we practised on the booklet and we copied the names in our notebooks.

We also worked on a new sound: /i/ as in INK, IN, SIT and PIN.

Last but no least, we started working on our Science Book!

Our first topic is "MATERIALS AND THEIR PROPERTIES"
We talked about plastic, metal, wood and glass and we tried to find objects made of those materials.

We sent and experiment for you to try at home, we can't wait to hear about the results on Monday! Have fun!

We would like to wish you a very happy Easter filled with all the things that make you happy!
Have a nice Easter weekend!

March 22nd was designated as WORLD WATER DAY by the UN to emphasize the importance of conserving and managing our freshwater resources. 71% of the Earth's surface is covered by water and yet so many countries are unable to provide citizens with clean, safe drinking water.

It's very important that children understand and appreciate the importance of clean water.  We can all help to have a better future.

SURPRISE FRIDAY ACTIVITY!!

Do you like our blog? Did you play some games and listened to some music?
Now, you will find new things on the GAMES and SONGS section.
This is what we did this past week.

We learnt and revised WEATHER vocabulary.

The children worked with vocabulary cards in their notebooks. We listened to a song and a story.

This was the first piece of Art Craft we made: a “Weather Wheel”.

Did you like it?
Ask the children: “What’s the weather like today?”
They should be able to answer like this: “Today is…”

We practised classroom language, the children remembered a lot from K5. Good for them! They  played in groups at miming the action. They had lots of fun and spoke English!

We continued revising colours. We played some games and we listened to two new SONGS. We worked on the booklet on pages 25 act.1 and page 30 act. 2

Last, but not least, we started working on the reading and writing programme: “Jolly Phonics”. The kids were very engaged and enthusiast to know they will learn to read. They loved playing on the ACTIVEBOARD. We worked on the first sound /s/ as: SNAIL – SNAKE – SUN – SPIDER.
The kids completed pages 2 and 3 from the Jolly Phonics booklet.

Finally, we worked on fine motor skills on the Jolly Phonics booklet.
The children are doing great and we are delighted!

Hello everyone! What a lovely first week we’ve had. It has been so nice getting to know everyone. Some of you have a lot of energy and some of you are a bit sleepy… it will take some time but everyone is doing their best to participate and enjoy the afternoon. Well done everyone!

Big Thumbs Up Smiley

This past week we talked about CLASS RULES!

We sang and danced to many songs. We are learning the lyrics.
Click on the SONGS & STORIES section to listen to them.

We read a lovely story: “Little blue and little yellow”. We went over the story on the projector. Then, we played with yellow and blue clay.  Here is the story for you to see.

Did you enjoy it as much as we did? The kids took home a souvenir to retell the story to the family.

We are revising and learning colour words and we worked on it in our notebook.

Finally, we completed a page on information “ALL ABOUT ME”. It was so much fun to learn about everyone.

Let’s rest this weekend and congratulations to all the kids for being so good and responsible.
